Who can get it
- Old-age pension: aged 60 or above
- Family income up to ₹1 lakh a year
- Living in Kerala continuously for 3 years
- Up to 2 acres of land (not applied to Scheduled Tribes)
- House up to 2,000 sq ft
Who cannot
- Income-tax payers
- Owners of a four-wheeler above 1000cc (taxis exempt)
- Those drawing a central / other-state government salary or pension

Kerala’s social security (welfare) pensions — old age, widow, disability, unmarried women above 50, agricultural labourers and more — pay ₹2,000 a month. For the old-age pension you must be 60 or older with family income up to ₹1 lakh a year. You apply at the panchayat or municipality where you permanently live.

Look up your pension with ‘Pension Search’ on welfarepension.lsgkerala.gov.in. Ask your panchayat or municipality office whether anything is pending, such as mustering or an income certificate.
